The Spark: Discovering Real Estate

My dad encouraged me to start investing in real estate, so I began attending local meetups. That’s when I discovered Pace Morby. I started watching his YouTube videos during the workday and realized—I could do this after hours. It was the spark I needed. I saw people making big moves in real estate and thought, Why not me? But I quickly learned the hard truth: in corporate America, hard work alone doesn’t equal more money or promotions. Advancement was tied to tenure or a master’s degree. That felt backwards to me.

The Big Vision

What drives me? Freedom. Purpose. Connection.

I want to leave my full-time job and become a full-time entrepreneur. I see myself acquiring value-add businesses and scaling them through systems. I want to travel, work from anywhere, and spend time with the people I love. I’m building a life where I can choose what I do with my time—where I’m not replaceable at a moment’s notice. I want to be part of a community of friends who do business together, lift each other up, and collaborate—not compete. This is more than a career—it’s my calling. And I’m just getting started.

Life Today

Today at my full-time job, I help streamline processes and automate repetitive tasks. I ensure accurate data collection and reporting for leadership. On the real estate side, I run a transactional lending business that offers EMD, double closing, and seller carryback funding. My goal is to build strong, lasting relationships with borrowers and partners. I also want to support people with established businesses who need help building systems and processes.

A typical day in my life? Wake up, work 9 hours, hit the gym, cook dinner, then spend the evening messaging people, hopping on connection calls—or playing beach volleyball. Balance matters to me. With having Achiever and Responsibility in my top strengths, I know burnout is real. So I intentionally build in joy.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why did you leave teaching and corporate life?

Because I realized I wanted to create freedom, not just follow someone else’s path. I wanted more than a paycheck—I wanted purpose.

What’s transactional lending, and how did you get into it?

It’s funding done through escrow, so EMD, double closes, and seller carrybacks. I got into it after learning about creative real estate and seeing a need I could fill.

What makes you different from other people in real estate?

I build long-term relationships, not just deals. I bring systems thinking, strategic planning, and purpose-driven energy to everything I touch. I work very fast and can get a lot done in a day and like to stay focused on the main goal my borrowers want to accoplish.

Do you still work a 9–5?

Yes—for now. But I’m building every day to transition into full-time entrepreneurship. And when I do, I’ll do it with a foundation that lasts.

What’s one thing people are surprised to learn about you?

That I’m a former college volleyball player who also worked in beach bars and loved the fast-paced energy of it all. I also do have 3 siblings where the closest age gap is 11 years and the furthest is 16 years.

What’s your dream life look like?

Playing volleyball in the morning, traveling with family and firends, running my businesses from anywhere, and building with friends who are all winning together.
